The Human-Strogg war was an intergalactic war that started when the cybernetic humanoid species Strogg invaded Earth in 2085.

The Humans initially believed the Strogg was after the Earth's natural resources, but EDF teams sent to board their ships were shocked from a much more gruesome fact: The Strogg is harvesting every organic being to convert into war machines, as that is their only way of procreation.
It is unknown what the Stroggs were before they became cyborgs. However, rumours circulated that they were humans from another system that was consumed by their extreme reliance on technology.
Another marine aboard the USS Hannibal during the Second Stroggos Invasion said the Strogg were supersoldiers still roaming the Universe after a major war long ago, and it's their tradition to wage war with anything presumably for centuries.
