Update
A few weeks ago I participated in another Ludum Dare event. This was the first event where I was unable to pick a feasible idea in the first night of the event. Although I think the game I built nicely fits into the event's theme, I wish I could have done something a bit more original. At least I can say I learned a bit by coding up all of the game's typical logic from scratch in that short span of time. Oh well, I guess there is always next event :P.
