No idea; if someone started it, wasn't me, nor have I ever seen one.

Not so much dying as dead. I explicitly stopped development with 3.6, as I don't really want to devote a significant amount of time to it anymore. This is just some bits from 2023, mostly fixes, from when I felt like it. No further major updates are to be expected, maybe one or two more patches like this.
A false positive, I guess... At least it's clean on my side.
WS.Reputation1 is a common false positive for Norton; it simply means it's not a file it often sees
You have the option to manually point the installer to the right folder; remember that in BtS case the exe file is not in the root folder of the game.
It is the other way round; they both have a malus against cities, not bonus
It's definitely there, somewhere along the line of Civilization IV Complete\Civ4\Beyond the Sword
Try simply running a search for Civ4BeyondSword.exe
Only happens that way for some percentage of users; doesn't for myself and therefore I can't troubleshoot it in-depth. Some tips from other users who fixed that issue on their side that worked for them were to clear Civ 4 game cache and to switch from fullscreen mode (to borderless fullscreen windowed for example).

I don't know what exactly causes it, but since it only affects some users, it might be due to hardware or local software (like video drivers).
Hey man! Might I ask you to create a slightly reworked version of the video you've made on RI? I love the cinematics, but the grammar could use some fixes - so if you'd just fix the texts, it would be awesome. I could help with the texts if you want to.
Whoops. Seems it didn't get included in the installer. Including in the hotfix.
No, and they never will be, as no new playable civs will be added. Babylon, along with some other potential revolter civs, is playable in a couple of scenarios, but that's the full extent of it.
There is no easy way to use premade maps with this mod. Firstly, they will crash if you don't add the required number of teams (even if they are empty); check some bundled scenarios for that. Secondly, these maps will lack the resources added by the mod, unless they are specifically told to randomize resources or if you place those by hand. Also, you should probably just check EarthEvolution scripts that come bundled with 3.4, if you just want to play on any empty Earth map.
It is still being worked on, and no.
No, not really, should be buildable all the time...
Orthodox Christianity is not foundable in RI, it exists only for scenario purposes.
As long as you keep them separate and don't keep anything in your CustomAssets folder, you should be fine.
Yes, preferably. I actually don't remember if our installer does that for you :-)
Not really. They were almost exclusively used against walls.
As for units, take special care to look at their bonuses, not just their base strength. Often, they have much more impact in combat. Vs melee units, skirmishers have a very high attack bonus. They will get slaughtered if they have to defend or go against archers, though.
We will not add a bombard units option to catapults, because it is unrealistic. Catapults were never used as field artillery, they are too inaccurate and do too little damage to formations for that. Units gain bombard ability only with direct fire capability - that is, with first gunpowder artillery.
As for the first question, there can be so many factors at play - terrain, logistics, experience, stack aid etc. It is hard to say without looking at any particular situation. Anyway, inspecting odds should give you a pretty good idea.
You should point it to the folder with BtS exe file, not Mods folder.
No, it is not. Far too many changes for that.
You can't, it is only available in Crusades scenario.
1) Nope, I know no way to make such a change. Anyway, it is very accurate as far as the map is concerned (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hereford_map).
2) You can't play stock Civ 4 scenarios with this (or any other major) mod.
Why do you think so? It 100% correctly has North to the left, and East at the top, as all medieval maps are supposed to.
Are you sure you are looking inside the proper mod folder? There is a "mods" folder just inside Civilization 4 folder, but it is a wrong one; the right one is inside the "Beyond the Sword" folder. It is a different one. There is also a "CustomAssets" folder in "My Documents/My Games/Beyond the Sword", but it is wrong to put stuff there.
I am almost sure it put it to "Yourcivfolder"/Beyond the Sword/Mods/Realism Invictus. At least that's where it is supposed to be to work properly.
