It is with great regret that I must post this, but all work on PT will be postponed until at least January. I am currently in a position where I cannot maintain an internet connection, which has removed my ability to access anything through steam and other methods. All my previously existing uploaded versions are either incompatible with the steam version, or no longer exist, removing my ability to pass the mod on to other developers.
On an unrelated note, is anyone in need of an O+ kidney?
Not dead, I've just moved house and am still sorting out some issues related to that. Busy busy busy.
I haven't looked at desura, will have a play around.
Yep. Shouldn't be a problem. Although it will be awhile before we implement any form of campaign or advanced ai, so you won't get as much from the mod as those who use steam for awhile.
Although fighting against the existing factions is still obviously an option.
Both! Although you will need the new steam version if you wish to play multiplayer. It can be gotten on steam for free by punching in your retail CD key.
Fun Fact: Pacific Thunder is now working with new Steam version.
I'm having some software issues at the moment that's preventing me from getting new models into CoH (certain necessary programs crashing on startup), hoping to have it resolved soon, and when it is I'll put together a new update.
I've been trying to find a way of making it available to the public that will allow me to update easily and regularly without people having to do it manually every time I make a change or fix something. So far I've looked at the likes of DropBox, SugarSync, etc, but I'm yet to find something that does what I want that is either free, or doesn't require me to send everyone who wants to play an invite manually via email.
So if you have any ideas for something I may have missed let me know. Otherwise the closest I can find to what I want requires people to do everything on their end, and anyone coming along new to the mod would need to download the original mod files, and then patch in order of release.
Just login to steam and comment your support.
Australia became independent in 1901. And we are currently implementing ANZAC forces as a support role.
No this will not be compatible with EF. The amount of work required to add new races is extensive let alone having to repeat the process again in order to merge with EF.
This is an expansion mod, not a conversion, we are adding the USMC and IJA to the existing CoH factions.
We don't advertise highly because at the moment we have a very limited team and our progress is slow.
at the moment if we do implement tunnels they would act as forward HQs allowing reinforcement of infantry and deployment of some types, new units built from the tunnel would come at a 10% increased cost, but obviously be available at the front lines a lot quicker.
as for transferring between bunkers, the level of coding required to establish a system like that means that anything along those lines is a low priority job, and would experimented with or implemented very late in development
way ahead of you ;)
We're not replacing anything, this is an expansion mod.
christmas/new years are coming, people get busy, stop worrying about a game for a few weeks ;)
just a shopping error
the systems working already! hazar!
What... We're not dieing...
For those too lazy to go to the update with the videos here's the link.
IJA video is on the last news update. When edited the news piece doesn't notify watchers.
or maybe 40 minutes, the internets unusually fast today.
IJA update will be uploading very shortly, the news might update before the video has finished uploading, so you may have to wait a while (up to 8 hours, my internet is particularly slow).
2 uni assignments left for the year, i'll sort it out on friday :p
For those of you who check back regularly, the hardware issues should be resolved by next week.
Which means you should be plenty prepared for an update in the next 2-3 weeks.
no, just got busier than anticipated since last post.
just submitted a 23 page long uni assignment, and its only the second one of three for oen of four courses...
using a program like audacity with a decent quality mike in a quiet non-echoing environment
been a bit busy with uni, one of the courses made a bit of a **** up so students have had to do a week of catch up. will try again this weekend.
