Turns out I didn't have the expansion installed properly. The mod works now!

I thought I did have the expansion, but maybe it's not installed properly. I'll double-check that and see if that's the issue.

I installed Phobos into my Doom 3 folder, where the base folder and d3xp folders are. I then try to launch the mod with the Phobos batch file provided. Doom 3 fires up, and I see a new loading screen (which seems to imply its reading some of the mod files), but then it hits that error I wrote above.

I see in the batch that its suppose to launch Doom 3 with the expansion already loaded? But maybe that's not happening? I'm not sure.

I'm having some trouble getting this to run. I've freshly installed Doom 3 + the expansion (not BFG edition), and when I try to start the mod, I get this error message:

ERROR: file C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Doom 3\tfphobos\script\d3xp_main.script, line 57: file 'script/d3xp_events.script' not found

I found version 1.5 a few years back, but apparently the link I used is dead. So, I decided to upload the zip file here so more people can enjoy this incredible mod.

Hey developers - some of the music selections for the CD music is inaccurate. And the music for Post-Mortem is missing. I've corrected the music.def file myself. This is how it should read:

//Episode 1
music { ID "E1L1" file "highres/music/3.ogg" }

music { ID "E1L3" file "highres/music/9.ogg" }

I love where this mod is going, as I'm a big fan of the original Counter Life for Half Life 1.

I agree with what another commenter said - getting $700 for one kill does seem like a lot. In the original mod for Half Life, a Headcrab was worth $10. I believe soldiers were worth $200 or so. Getting $700 per kill means you get the best weapons in the game very early on, which removes a lot of the challenge - saving money and rationing ammo.

Otherwise, I love it! Looking forward to the final release!
