If you ran the launcher you do have the latest version.
The Jagdpanzer IV/48 was never in the mod. We do, however, have the Jagdpanzer IV/70 (Vollmer Version) (also called Panzer IV/70). It spawns on a forward flag on Meuse River, not in the mainbase. You can also find it on Eppeldorf.
We just released one last month...
Russia is the allied team on the maps Arad, Dukla Pass, Sammatus and Seelow Heights.
Probably. Note that the latest version is 2.51 though. Simply download the launcher and it will automatically get you the latest version.
Yesterday for instance the 100 player server was full, good times.
They don't have official singleplayer support. There is an unofficial fan patch on the forums though.
Why would they trust standalone Fh2 or PR over battlelog? Both would be equally illegal. And if they don't download it because of low player numbers, why would they download standalone FH2? And what exactly makes PR easier to get than battlelog BF2? In both cases you need to download files from a website.
You can easily get BF2 for free. The only people who "don't have a chance to join" are people to retarded to download BF2 from battlelog, and I am pretty sure those would be overwhelmed by installing PR or FH2 as well.
Oh the melodrama... People have been screaming at me that FH2 is dying ever since before 2.0 was released. Player numbers are basically stable for years now. BF2 can be downloaded for free already. If you expect 1000s of new players from standalone you would be very disappointed.
Also pretty rich to say "the devs are doing nothing". Very nice for all those people still working on the mod for free while our pointless consumers complain in comment and forum threads.
The Project Reality Mod. In there you can deploy machine guns while standing up (but that means also deploying them on thin air).
Not officially, but there is a community made fix in our public forum.
That is very unlikely. We might add Anders' Army or the Polish Exile forces raised by the Soviets at some point.
They are reskinned German models (the uniforms were very similar, only slightly different colour, different insignia). In addition to that we added different helmets and kit meshes (magazines etc) for the Finns.
we have no navmesher to do this.
The launcher will download it automatically.
Update goes life late afternoon or in the evening (as far as I know)
ATM it doesn't work because the account servers are down. This will change with the update.
Yes, really dude.
There is a ddos attack on the PR and FH2 account server going on. Until this is solved, both mods won't work.
We are putting the finishing touches on it, but it is hard to predict.
" If you are against a standallone, it would be pointless to ask for it on moddb."
Even if I am for it, asking on here is pointless anyway, since it has no influence on our decision.
Why do you want an answer from me in particular? I can not speak for myself on this, since this is a decision the whole team has to make.
"I think nobody should download bf2 from sources where you dont know its legal."
Hate to break it to you, but technically the standalone version of PR is illegal, just as the FH2 standalone would be. We do not have the right to put any part of BF2 up for free, which an BF2 mod would have to do.
You have to start the mod with the launcher, not through BF2.
FH1 had Poles and afaik one of the custom maps in the mappack has them as well.
The American and German voices (while cheesy) where professionally done for BF1942. The Australian ones (as well as Polish and Finnish ones) were made by modders.
Yes, although not a complete 1:1 remake, it was remade in a more modern FH2 style.
There will also be a Seelow Heights map in the next update, for a total of 4 Eastern Front and 1 Western Front maps.
Depends on the year.
In 1944: PPsh41 35 round mag or Mosin Nagant M38 Carbine
In 1945: PPS43 or Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine
The SVT40 will be the optional weapon in 1943 but we won't have maps set in that year in 2.5.
