If you have a problem with the resolution of the game that prevents you from playing full screen (screen goes black, and you get a message that says "input signal is out of range")
open terminal,
then
sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
locate the device section and add this line
Option "ModeValidation" "NoXServerModes"
Log out,then log in..and the problem is solved :)
