Independent game making is my life. Can't live without it.
If you need comments for motivation, you will run out of fuel fast. That's how it is with indie development.
Well I'm not in a complete loss. There are actually tutorials online, especially YouTube, on how to do it. Plus I'm also using sprites from other games as a reference guide so I'm sure I'll find something good.
It's all about combining different sources and then figuring out your own style, that's how I see tutorials.
Regardless, thanks for the compliment and once again thank you for the guide.
I love this site but I hate those ads, so I'll take the alternative and donate.
This couldn't have come at a perfect time. I wanted to update my character walking animation and this will help me so much. Well, for the human character at least. Still need one for a equine character.
"if you were close like up 10-20% way to the top 100 , you will get Greenlit."
Ah, that's why many people are getting Greenlit, including my game. I was 4% onto the top 100. Fantastic and congrats on getting Greenlit.
Thanks. I also got Greenlit in the twilight of Greenlight. Fantastic!
I guess there's no point but for research purposes, can you please post the Greenlight link?
Okay, I'm gonna be honest. I did not think I was going to get any comments but thank you guys for taking an interest in the project.
I have been working hard to get this game released, which shall be next weekend, and I will make a trailer for it then but the reason there is no video right now is because I'm updating the sprites. I want to give them at least a 16-bit style that will peel off to an 8-bit and then monochrome, or something like that.
Layers is using a different system but if you want a little teaser, follow this site and scroll down to check out the HTML5 in-browser app.
To answer DarkBloodbane's second question, at the moment there is no real defense against a PE. It's an all out offensive. The only real defense is a bar that you can fill so that if you lose too many pixels, the bar will automatically fill up your sprites pixel layer.
I don't know about this. Twitter does that and I hate it because every time I scroll through my timeline, it pops up without precedent, confuses me as to why I followed it, and then realize it's an ad. I hate it.
Maybe it's best if you pin it to the top so that way we can get it out of the way.
Dang. You beat me to it. I wanted the name "One Hit KO".
Lolis? Yes please!
Thanks. They'll be more later on so be sure to subscribe.
Thanks. Be sure to subscribe for more.
Thanks. There's more to come though.
Good enough for me.
The game is also available here on IndeDB. It's on the files section.
Your welcome. Enjoy your insomnia.
Best to thank Human Descent. He made all of them.
Thanks. Games gonna come out in a few hours. Hope you enjoy it.
I hope you like the game too.
It's a work of art for sure.
This is only scratching the surface.
Same here, lol.
This game is TOO COOL! Where's the Kickstarter so I can throw my money at it!?
Saw your ad about needing a playtester. I'm currently helping devs by providing a video with commentary. If you can provide more information about your game, I'll be happy to provide a video review as long as it's a PC game and in window mode.
Hey! I played this game on XBLIG as a playtester years ago along with video footage! How about that!
Sorry but I don't have skype. If you wish to contact me, due so by e-mail and I'll get back to you:
WOW! This is beautiful pixel art. I don't know what the game is about but I like it already!
He doesn't. He's lying.
