i'd love to make this for the crysis engine, but only 8 people would ever see it.
Valve has always had the best when it comes to 3rd party mods and communities.

haha. in a world where robots have taken control of the world and plasma rifles and time travel are common place, i think the least impractical thing we could do is let a human use a minigun.
ive seen tons of videos of miniguns shooting blanks... i dont think it would break anyone's arm, especially if it was already supported by off-screen supports like you claim.
once again, though. it's a video game! haha.
the idea of the completely red view works as a way to balance out the teams. it wouldnt be fair to have such a crazy strong cyborg be able to see everything as clear as a human. to a computer, im sure the view would be totally understandable, but to our human eyes, it's not as easy.
otherwise, who's gonna want to ever be a human? there needs to be pro's and con's for both teams.
we figured out that the initial beta release should be easily manageable with just DT and I, and we actually have more people helping that just us two, so i think we're in good shape.
i'd be willing to bet money against that.
