Really fine work, Rivarez! You seem to have ironed out the few flaws this excellent game had. Thank you!

After a 20 year hiatus from this thrilling and unique game, I am now playing it again on Windows XP Home Edition. DUKE PLUS appears to be a marvelous mod; one that I very much want to use. Unfortunately however, when I try to run DUKE PLUS in conjunction with the Duke Nukem HIGH RESOLUTION PACK, the game suffers a distortion that adversely affects my experience. Specifically, there seems to be a strange zoom or resolution issue that results in floating on-screen graphics as can be seen here: Dreamuse.com. I tried typing r_pr_fov 426 or 512 or 625 in the console, but found the code appears to be ineffectual while using DUKE PLUS. Can one guide me to solve this frustrating issue? Thanks.

Having the two factions periodically fight each other is brilliant!

RealMode is really good! It greatly enhances a game that deserves improvement. Know that I appreciate the trouble you are going to in order to provide us with such enhanced game-play.

However, at the risk of annoying you with what may seem to be a trivial request, I wonder if you know of some way to enable the player to hide or holster the weapons when not in use, thus allowing a more immersive experience. I’m sure you are well aware of how silly it is to have a weapon in hand at all times, doing all things except when indoors. Not only does this developer oversight detract from the realism of the virtual reality experience, it also destroys one’s ability to take screenshots of that rather beautiful countryside. Although I have very little modding experience, I believe this might be possible to achieve. You may have noticed that every once in a while, upon exiting one of the faction’s headquarters in Pala, as the guardsman hands you your gear, nothing appears on your screen. There is no obstruction of your view until you receive a call or activate a weapon. That chance moment is so cool. Imagine the joyous realism of roaming the savannah with weapons holstered and shouldered until the moment you need to be fast on the draw in order to escape death--how fun!

Just an idea for your consideration. But, as it is, your mod does wonders for Far Cry 2!
