In fact, excuse the double posting - by jove I have the answer! STOP TRYING TO BE A SIMULATOR. BE A GAME. Games are fun. Mountain biking is fun. Trying to simulate that removes all the fun. It's like Elvis tribute acts - painful to watch and listen to, but die-hard fans will sink money into it because there is no competition. Just honest feedback, I can't be constructive because I don't know how Unity works, but I want this to do well. But I want it to do well by being a good game, not by being the most droll simulator in all the land. :)

(I know little of game design, but believe me I have every respect for what these guys are doing, this is just how things stand to me currently.) There's potential for a great game here. Seems like a hackjob of a tech demo in it's current form. It's like playing a camera attached to a cardboard cutout that someone pushed down a hill. The "bike" feels as if it has infinite gravity forcing it onto the terrain, so that it follows the slightest gradient like an overly obedient puppy, and it makes "riding" very difficult to enjoy. And the hops... Oh, the hops. Jumps that require coasting because hopping actually robs you of precious momentum, and object ramps that break and send you jetting into the stratosphere should you attempt to hop on them. I think there needs to be some form of overhaul in the game's core aims to better capture the actual art of control and finesse involved in freeriding, rather than just the "OOH LOOK WE'RE GOING FAST" that this game seems to think it's all about. Otherwise, please keep it coming and I can only hope that these are early hurdles, because this could be the game I've wanted for years if only it could stop being a tech demo. Much love.
