Is there no developer of Third Age that we can speak to?

I'm new to game mods guys and I'm having a little trouble and wondered if anyone can help? First of all I love the game as I'm a huge fan of both the works of J.R.R Tolkien and the Total War series. I have downloaded 3.0 parts 1 and 2, patch 3.1 and patch 3.2. I then played for half an hour as Eriador when I besieged barrow downs. As I started the battle I was returned to the desktop and confronted with a message stating "Medieval Toal War Third Age has forced to close" or something along those lines. I thought it may be a one off but 20 mins later after starting a defense of a gundabad ambush the same thing happened. Please help!

PS it looks like some other people have had the same problem too and we have no solution so far?
