Nova Aetas

Mod review

One of the most interesting feature-show cases I've seen in an M&B mod so far, but most are poorly implemented, and some are not quite useful at all (with potential to be great)

The balancing is very bad, it's too easy to get rich and even easier to achieve inconsistent OPness and Status as you start off.

Profession system ain't compelling, and resumes itself into some sort of random waiting game whereas you gain very little to waste time, uninteresting interactions with even less interesting goals.

The overall looks of the mod is crap, if you use the included ENB it's too bright and blurry, but adds beauty, if you don't it's straight-out ugly. New added Scenes are all very pixelated/square, they also do not reflect the appearence of their respective towns, which also kills it's purpose, those scenes also lack anything interesting into them, it's just clutter.

There are way too many generic items, whilst most good items look practically the same, killing the point of having so many variations.

Overall I do like the new score systems for Piety and Prestige, but they don't add enough to carry the mod's many flaws, meaning those new features are not good at the point of surpassing the bad things, they don't make up to it for they do not contribute much to the core experience.

I also disgruntle the many liberties the author took regarding the Lore, considering the original M&B world, whatever the author envisioned for Nova Aetas doesn't seem belieavable, and at times very out of context (it's like getting your hands into Game of Thrones and trying to push Lord of the Rings stuff into it, simply makes no sense).

So my score is an 5, for the effort and the amazing feature show case. With the cons of being an overall bad mod with too many glitches and very unnatractive.
