working on a tutorial that will show the ins and outs of modifying the game files. this will eventually appear on the tutorials section of the showw2 main page

sure you want to get a program called notepad++ and open the mission file in it(these files are located in c:/program filesx86/codemasters/soldiers heroes of world war 2/mods/2pz/resources/maps) select the appropriate campaign and map from here. once inside you need to find a file called 0.mi. once this is open in notepad++ press control h. in the find what box put {Able {select 0}} and in the replace box put {Able {select 1}}. if you need I can simply email you the fixed files instead. also you can have a lotta fun with these files like replacing your tiny little tank with maus. also set maus speed to 1000 once wow it flew. also made a mg that shot 200ml shells.

one question are there going to be vehicles you can't crew in this mod like in 2pz? because i will admit I found it kinda annoying and just ended up removing the restrictions from the 0.mi file.

i think he is asking if there will be a system of damage kinda like the one on the tanks, on the ships in this mod rather than the ships acting as platforms in saying that the Yamato would just sink after some hits wouldn't it?

it will be good to see an inprovement on DA it was a good mod just needed a bit more refining

some of you guys might need to be a little careful with your English,some of it is coming out a little odd or is sounds like an insult. i don't mean any offence i am just saying might be worth reading before posting

alright this was ported wasn't it? the train looks identical to mow ch. how cares i guess though it's been taken from a 1c company game and been put into another.

just lost my computer's hard drive for the second time due to corruption and both these times the only thing that survived was showw2

Just out of interest do you have anymore screenshots of the mod to upload? if you do it would be nice to see some more of the mod it looks amazing judging from the screenshots. thanks

Please don't worry about taking a while better to have the mod flawless and the best it can be for it's release.

i gotta say its amazing the quality of Albus's work, like spending so much time on a single mission it pretty amazing, and there is nothing worse than having to repair a faulty mod yourself when all they have done is missed one symbol in the code for a tank ({) causing the game to crash. so really i don't mind waiting for this mod because i know it will actually match, if not do better, than the quality of un-moded showw2. plus an extra fact albus does not seem to leave buggy half finished models hanging around entity files like MOW commended heroes which i found about 20 unworking half finished game crashing junk tanks and buildings. So as far as I am concerned Albus is quite a lot better at what he does than 1C company!!

just one question will these be used as a stationary platform or as a moving entity?

Why make a pacific mod? because soldiers is just a better game than assault squad which in my opinion is rather disappointing. plus we all want a new showw2 mod and who better to do it than Albus.
