While I'm not particularly Tech savy, there are 3 attributes which have led me to persue an account with in this modding community. I am extremely creative, I am a skilled cartoonist, and lastly I am a very, VERY picky gamer. Modding communities such as this one have breathed new life into one of my favorite games (DoW) and I would be extatic if any of you could find a way for me to give back to this community.
So they are releasing a new Sonic title, and it should come to no surprise to any of you... it's complete garbage! Yes, I can tell with out playing it, call it a gift.
Seriously, how hard is it to make a good Sonic game? It's an incredibly simple recipe.
-You have to know each level and have it memorized to some degree. Y'know, so you don't run into that spike pit, or miss that pinball bumper that bounces you to get that extra life, or simply to remember where that TV box with the extra 10 rings in it is so you can get the bonus level for your shot at the next chaos emerald.
-You have to have reaction time! Sonic moves incredibly fast, you've got to be on your toes, it's as simple as that.
That is it! That is all you need to make a decent "Sonic the Hedgehog" game. You don't Need experience points to level up "werehog fighter mode" or to talk to every person in some poorly designed town to get to the next level, honestly this blog could turn into a novel if we were to sit here and review the massive library of horrible Sonic games that were made post Sonic & Knuckles (don't get me wrong there were a few good ones)
But y'know, if you were making better video games you might not have to team up with Mario to co-whore out your celebrity statues.
