hardware is your problem, the x600 is not up to this mod, nor is only 1gb ram. the processor is fine, i have yet to slow down my 3700, try as i might. i get bored first. 2gb is best, and not very expensive, and the "x" only makes it slightly faster than the 9600, whixh i just replaced with an x850 pro. pretty much you need a 6800 or better, or a 9800 or better (video ram doesnt matter much at all, this game doesnt have enough varied textures for it to effect anything
