To answer your question about bots, well v1.2 will have all the bot support a game could ask for :p
They know what to do, when to do and how to do it, and are quite efficient at it actually.
They even surprised me on Brindisi, while i was checking and testing, they where going after the objectives quite scary if you know that i've been doing ingame testing for nearly two years and have never came accros any bots that actually behave like they should ingame :p
The promo image nr 2 is from a bot match actually, in dasboot you have to blow up the garage doors though since the bots don't select the engineer role so players can select that role if they want.
So get on your helmets once more, its coming :)
I'll update soon with some sshots of the latest internal release which should be one of the last, there's so many new features, i can't even begin describe them (i'll probably have to if i'll update though :p )

dunno, i personally hate the hl engine (aka quake engine)
its good, but nothing extraordinairy, if you'd developped it for a more modern engine i'm sure it would be much much better

the hl-engine is so limited to up a point that i see no difference in the amount of detail on a weapon from mod x or mod y.
cs is supposed to be teamplay no?
in any case, then i can compare it to frontline, the point is that your concept is about three years to late in order to create a new experience for players.

The health system is locational based, as you stated a similar system is used in mech warrior. And it works just like you'd expect it to, if you're hit badly in the legs you will walk more slowly or even fall down. It can also influence your aim, amoungst other things.
