RETREAT2017 Log 3 (Thursday Evening)
Short summary: Dinner, Worship, Sermon, Bonfire, Game that everyone loves, Sleep. Done.
Long summary:
So we had dinner. Our options were mini chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, lettuce, biscuits, pretty much what any ordinary American meal would look like. I just endulged a little.
Then there was a time of worship. The band did a great job of leading us, and we had a pretty good time. One song even brought me back to elementary times and had hand motions. Nice.
Fianlly, in this sumary, the night games. The senior class decided to do Man Hunt - a game in which you have to complete the objective of finding all the pieces to a flashlight, assemble it, and then bring it back to the starting area, while at the same time not getting caught by the "hunters," and if you do you have to go to the jail, complete a task, and then once you do, you're free. That's pretty much how the game worked, but this time the game got dangerous. You know what was more stressful about the retreat this year? There was contrustion all around the places for future projects that never got finished. and especially on the playground were they made a hazard. As a result, one kid injured himself on one of the wooden planks, and that red-flagged the game instantly. Wow. Good thing for me though was that I just went to the "gagapit" and just laid down. Genius hiding spot. Got caught about three times, though.
On yeah, and the nightly camp store was open. I got a slushie. It was delicious.
