Afraid I'm running into the dreaded "unspecified error" crash when I try to launch a campaign -_- . I double-checked all the install steps and tried switching off Daylight Savings; no luck. I've got Windows 10, and UAC/virtual store haven't been a problem with other M2TW mods.

I'd really appreciate anybody's thoughts/advice; mod looks great, would love to play it. Thanks.

Agreed, but maybe also wider availability of more vanilla "sellsword" units (e.g., Sellsword Swords, Sellsword Lances, Sellsword Crossbows, etc.), in addition to the more niche/elite units mentioned above? Seems like it would reflect the omnipresence of Free Companies from the Disputed Lands/Free Cities in the books.

Tywin Lannister hired the Brave Companions, and the availability of multiple Free Companies for hire at the time of this mod (e.g., Yunkai's ability to hire the Second Sons, Stormcrows, Company of the Cat, Long Lances, and Windblown against Daenerys, as well as Myr's contracting of the Golden Company) would support an option to field a large contingent of mercenaries...if their sponsor has enough gold, that is.

Maybe halberds/billmen with low morale? Might be a nice compromise with no shield and a superior attack to militia spear units. Also would make sense per their crowd control role, a la the Yeomen Warders/"Beefeaters."

Agree! Westeros: Petty Kings did a great job with the mountain clans (one spear-milita unit and one double-handed axe unit; tho adding a light horse skirmisher unit would be an awesome nod to their garrons in ADWD :) ).

Looks great! Can't think of any regional units for the Westerlands (aside from maybe a joke "miner w/ pickaxe" unit ala the Dwarves from TATW lol). Keep up the great work!

Wow, very nice! Gotta say, the story-heavy ideas you've mentioned almost sound too good to be true; please prove this cynic wrong!

BTW, if you're a book fan, highly suggest checking out Cantuse.wordpress.com (potential spoiler alert); very interesting theories on how the Stannis-Frey battle goes. Might even provide some ideas for your mod!

Double for Hawkbat's second suggestion; the North has potential for some awesome region-specific units (esp the mountain clans; badass speech by Hugo "Big Bucket" Wull Youtube.com ).

A BS; assuming that equals A level? Just starting out, so trying to soak up as much as I can.

Regarding the Walkers, I feel that a grand campaign role would be more interesting; even if the player crushes his often-predictable AI rivals in the South, a tidal wave of OP Walker hordes would be a late-game challenge (esp if the Others attack all factions they encounter; possibility of players forming alliances with formerly hostile factions to stem the tide?). My experience w/ M2TW campaigns is that they tend to get stale w/o additional scripts/events/decisions, so the Others' march South could help (also, have you considered decision events, like whether Stannis should accept Melisandre/Lord of Light or stick with the Seven? Would be super cool to see a choice ala pagan Lithuania in the Teutonic Campaign).

I'm intrigued by your consideration of custom scenarios. But I've been thinking about how that would work for the Wildling/NW, which you've mentioned. Would two factions be enough (assuming gameplay is from the Gift northward)? And if you include the Others in a limited scenario, won't they just steamroll, due to lack of opponents?

As always, thanks for your patience with my ignorance/over-enthusiasm!

Very nice! Thanks for being so responsive. I know y'all do these mods out of genuine personal interest, so regardless of whether it comes to completion or not, just wanted to thank you. I'm just starting out with compsci stuff, so hopefully I can return the favor in future (though maybe we can get a ASOIAF TW title game by then, ala Warhammer; can dream, right?).

Any thoughts on White Walkers? I love your talk about a Wildling custom scenario, but the advancing threat of the Others would really make the Wildling-Night's Watch-North relationship super fun. I loved the Petty Kings 3.0 setup, but the White Walkers were pretty anticlimactic and kinda ruined that aspect. Just my thoughts. Good luck!

Awesome! If it is convenient, the more campaign scripts and events the better (e.g., the North actually marching south, the Iron Islands' decision on how to respond to Robb Stark's envoy, Stannis' acceptance of the Lord of Light/assassination of Renly/the Reach's decision on how to respond, arrival of Golden Company/Dorne's response)! Would really help keep campaign-play exciting.

Thanks again for your consideration; anything to keep us ASOIAF-lovers occupied until the next book is very much appreciated!
