They should not, I've used those with this myself. What version of CoC are you on? I haven't tried any lower version than 1.4.22 so I cannot guarantee that it works on any other version. Also post your log file.

The "Enabler" enables the functionality. The functionality is there in vanilla CoC, it's just disabled by default. The green house markers are the fast travel markers.

As long as CoM doesn't touch the original fast travel script files it should be compatible.

That is implemented, it's based on the distance from the player to the smart terrain object that the player travels to.

If this is still interesting, I added a first version of a mod that allows this via the barman and a few other select NPCs. It will require some balancing however. A first version is available in the addon list if you want to check it out.

I'm pretty sure that was the system used in Call of Pripyat as well so it's definitely possible.
