Also ehats ur rig like and how's the textue pop in? I found my gt 630 beating my 7770 and even besting my r9 270 when turning transcode on. I assume wolf doesn't have that option considering its next gen consoles have ati/amd hex

Would love to a straight foward, graphical way myself. I went from playing around a little in idtech5 editor to doom and that was one of the first problems I tan into. Ended up having to change number values to resize lights which was a massive pain.

I'm guessing u found the quality of pcf in this implimentation is worth the speed since you still manage over 60 frames with it. I know I'm jumping the gun here but I'm too damn excited, u have any plans on implimenting pcss? I hear it makes more sense to do it with pcf then with vsm. Just reinstalledg debian on my backup machine to test this build out. Going to put concerted effort into installing amd drivers this time.

What shadow mapping method did u use? please tell me u used summed area VSM or something cool like that. If not, still great stuff to have. I never pre order games for the same reason you mentioned, but damn if that news didn't REALLY challenge me to change my policy. In the end thoug, if there's a confirmed beta, then there will be a full game so ill just be patient and wait for that. Let us know how doom is though motosep
