You have to unlock it. I'll be posting instructions in the EULA in a second, as Desura seems to have iffy support for the activation method I use.

Aztechrome, what I appreciate about the way you handled your feedback is that (1) you talked about the game itself in addition to its pricing, (2) you were respectful, and (3) you didn't drop a 1-bomb out of pique. Folks like you are the reason I hold sales: you're the kind of player I want to attract with price drops. Folks who go on my games page and spew bile? Not so much.

The world uses steam tech, powered by a substance called vibra. There are a couple of factions--the Mechanics and the Helenites--that produce steam-powered automatons. The steampunk aspect isn't as in-your-face as it is in other games (I didn't just gratuitously throw pipes and valves everywhere to make you think "Ooooh, steampunk"), but it's definitely a part of the world. It becomes more evident once you're into the game.

The amount of time it takes varies pretty wildly depending on the choices you make, how much dialog you read through, etc. If you really know what you're doing, skip tons of dialog, and just blaze straight through the main storyline quests without exploring, I imagine you might be able to get through it in about 8 hours. If you take your time and explore, though, you can expect it to take longer than that. It's hard to post hard stats, since there are multiple approaches to beating the game.

Also, there are two wildly different endings. The canonical ending has a large variety of aspects that change based on choices you've made throughout the game (to pick one example out at random: your character can end up with one of two women, or with no one at all).

Glad to hear it! I was actually, honestly mortified when I saw that they hadn't converted the price properly for other regions; this is my first Desura release, so I didn't realize I'd have to handle that myself. I won't be making that mistake again!

Ah, sorry--I mistook the sense in which you were calling the pricing scheme a "con." I appreciate you taking the time to write a thoughtful reply here. I will say this about the pricing: the game was just on sale for 40% off a couple of weeks ago, and sales were fantastic. Just because its base price is high, that doesn't mean you won't ever get the chance to nab it for cheaper. Keep an eye on it; something neat may be happening fairly soon. ;)

I take deep offense to the idea that all indie games must be priced at $5-10. RPGs are *not* Match 3 games--they are content-heavy games that take many years and an enormous amount of work to create. Telepath RPG: Servants of God, for instance, took more than 4 years to create. I'm pricing it at a level to compete with other strategy RPGs, *not* Angry Birds, I Made a Game With Zombies In It, or even a standard jRPG like Cthulhu Saves the World.

If you want indies to make deep, complex games like this, you must be willing to pay a fair price--or, at the very least, be willing to *not* go online and publicly disparage the game because you don't want to pay what it costs.

It's much, much bigger than its free predecessors, with deeper mechanics and a much larger variety of meaningful choices. That's the basic gist.
