This is probably a dumb question, but is there any issue with having other versions of python installed as well as 2.7?

Maybe that's too much, might be hard to explain how an alien can become an invisible ghost...who knows

Thanks for heads up. Really excited about this game. I'm not sure where you guys are taking it, but I can imagine different levels with a monster themed to them--like a mummy in a museum level, or an alien in a spaceship etc. I guess anywhere with doors would be fair game

Just had my first really good game of this today, can't wait until more people start playing. Speaking of that, is the process to get a steam key, when they are available, automatic? or is there an email or something I need to look out for?

I think some basic info might need to be posted in the game startup that tells people how to play as a monster. I know it's easy to figure out with just a little effort...

but people seem to not get the fact that the humans are invisible when you are a ghost, and the purpose of the sound traps when they play as a monster, and they instead think something is wrong and quit.

I'm probably the only one with a weird rig that doesn't support 1280x720 video mode.
But if you are like me, you can edit the config file resolution settings here to something else if the game doesn't start for you:

C:\Program Files\Desura\Common\damned\DamnedData\Config

I get a console window with this error when trying to start the game:

"OGRE EXCEPTION(7:InternalErrorException): Can't find requested video mode. in D3D9RenderSystem::initialize ar ..\..\..\..\..\ RenderSystems\Direct3D9\src\OgreD3D

not too worried as I am getting a new PC soon. This one probably should be able to handle it though.
Just out of curiosity, what is the expected system requirements as far as video cards go?

Oh I read up on this. Looks like Desura assigns them, So I think I just have to wait a little. Didn't realize this just came out like six hours ago.

Just purchased alpha--game looks like a really cool concept. It said it could not locate a CD key, however. How does one get one of those?
