Which is understandable. Personally, I hate Steam, so I am waiting myself too.
But your initial post was worded quite differently. And calling something "wasted money" just because Desura and you experience technical difficulties is quite upsetting, since neither of those things are the developer's fault.

How about reading some comments before you buy? Or reading comments, period:
