ok, tried it for hundreds of turns with Dogs of War. Let's start with negative things:
- Why Dogs of War haven't the Dogs of War flag?
- Crash at a certain point at the end turn, dunno why and no way to make it go ahead.
- DoW have lots of mercenary units, but each of them should be retrained in specifical cities, so if you want to fight in the Empire you must spend dozens of turns to go back and from Tilea/Estalia/Marienburg or whatever just to retrain your troops. The only soldiers you can train and retrain almost everywhere are Free Company and... Well I cannot start a military campaign with Free Companies... I suggest to switch some Tilean, Estalian, Border Princes, Sartosa and Marienburg-only élite troops as core troops for high-level barracks with DoW. In fact now barracks for DoW have no troops to train, only the "Auxiliary Barracks" whose produce, indeed, Free Companies.
- I cannot bribe, dunno if you are aware of it
- Religion is very VERY hard to change in regions such as relations in diplomacy
- Some buildings have no effects (such are Stables and Army Barracks)
Positive Things:
- Well there are so many fantastic things here to explain that I'd probably finish writing the next year. As an Old Guard Warhammer player I appreciated enormously the very high variety of factions and units, I stopped play Total War: Warhammer just to play this spectacular mod, and despite the crashes and the graphic (that is however so high for a game like Medieval II)I do not regret! Funny, Beautiful, Huge, Background-accurate: Good Job! I LOVE IT!
Cheers from Italy (Tilea)
