Morrowind has always had better mods and support from the moddling community.
Oblivion to me was too blocky with a zooming face feature that I did not care for. And the quality in mods are not just there, like it is in Morrowind, with the exception of the Companion mod Valji. And it felt like some Generic Medieval RPG, without enough NPC's or Voiced Dialog; I got tired of hearing the same topic over and over again. Shivering Isles gave me such an alien experience that it was different and mesmerizing, in landscape design. Oblivion was not just the weaker of the Elder Scrolls Series and a lot less dialogue, Medieval GPS Device, would have preferred a Paper Map you can draw upon and make notes! And the leveled loot/enemies in Oblivion felt generic, making every encounter seem the same. But the main story in Oblivion was entertaining and a good run through!
I actually loved and still play Fallout 3. It had its flaws but with mods its probably made up for it. Fallout 3 was pretty good because of its main & side quests, while the main story gave an interesting and proper send off, cleaning the toxic river, especially with all the trials and tribulations you had to go through to reach that point. New Vegas is one those games that I actually stopped playing right in the beginning before even getting started, which is very rare for me. The game was just too broken to even play. I felt like New Vegas area was to small and everything just felt bad for me while playing it. Again not enough side quests, and broken voiced dialogue to give it the fleshing out it really needed. At least Oblivion had books to read.
Skyrim did a better job than Oblivion, but it lacks depth. The perk system was a new and fresh idea, with the stars and runestones. Although with mods Skyrim can be pretty fantastic. What sort of Skyrim mods do you use?
