Hm, that's strange. The non-Desura version seems to work fine. I'll look into it. Thanks for the heads up.

A little more content was added to Lucia's, but it wasn't changed substantially (aside from improvements in the art and writing). Maurus's route is 2-3 times as long as Lucia's, though.
It's saved to P;PDATA%/Project BC/Vacant Sky. If you're looking to use it to import into the old Act II, it won't work; you'll need to wait for the CE version of Act II.

That's really, really weird. I'm so sorry about this. I'll try to find a solution.
That's very weird; I developed and tested the game on Windows 7. You shouldn't need to download anything extra. Does it give you an error message of any kind?
Thanks for the kind words, everyone! I hope you all enjoy playing the game as much as we did making it.
@CaptainLagfail: I'm aware of the imbalance in battles and linear gameplay in Act I; they've been completely overhauled in Act II. Act II has a nonlinear structure, encounters where you can level up, and places to buy equipment. If you're talking about the fight with the soldiers, you're supposed to lose that fight. The battle after that is the last one of Act I, so I just ask that you stick it through and give Act II a shot. I promise it's a huge improvement.
I'm planning to work on another game next. Act III brings the story to a conclusion.
Developing it in Acts worked out great for me, too. I was able to get progressive feedback as it went along and improve and adapt along the way. The first act is kind of dated now, as that's where I made all my mistakes, but it gets much, much better. It was made with RPG Maker XP, but almost all of the default code was gutted and replaced by custom assets.
Thanks much! I can promise that Act II far exceeds it in just about every way. Act I was my first real foray into game development and I learned a lot from my mistakes with it. If you like it, you'll *love* Act II.
