Empire II

Mod review

Excellent mod. THE BERY BEST I have ever played with TW Empire.

I am about to finish my first campaign (Spain 1600). Everything is extraordinary. I would have only wished that all the new Imperial Destroyer regions in North America, Asia, and South East Asia could have been added, and more commercial ports in the additional regions, for more fun.

The number of units are often duplicated: grenadiers 1800, infantry 1800, cazadores 100, etc, appear 3-4 times repeated (slots), what makes it pretty difficult to compare and select units.

I am playing with extra large unit scales 400-500 units per regiment. They are all very compact regiments, what makes a little difficult for other friendly regiments to cross between lines, for example, cavalry trying to pass by infantry to protect them. They get stuck and frequently die.

Also, I think that artillery needs to be corrected. It has to be deadlier. As one general of the time said, "Battles are big brawls dignified by artillery." At that time artillery was the difference between winning or losing. It has to be more fearsome, more accurate, and more devastating.

I have noticed the US have particularly weak land units. I guessed, in the hypothetical case they could reach the end of the technology tree's branches, they could recruit some of the deadliest infantry and cavalry units to deploy in Europe since they would be pre-destined around 1800 to become the First World power 150 years earlier, as well, as to deploy heavily armed steamboats anticipating what will happen in the Civil War. At the end, TW games are a hypothetical "charge of the course of history", right?

Finally, one question. I have noticed the Russian Fussilers are one of the best light infantry units in the game (145 long range and 100 accuracy!). They are available in custom battles, but I have not found a way to recruit them in the game, not even switching between different types of Governments. No building is producing these units?

PLEASE, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
