Hey guys,

So the school year's over now. That means two things:
1. I won't be making music at school all day, which means I'll be more into composing.
2. I'll be working full time, which leaves the evenings/ nights as my only free time.

I am looking forward to creating more scores this summer, though. Most projects are coming together steadily and I'm managing to give each individual game their own unique sound. There's one project, which will be properly revealed in due time, which has me composing Japanese music.

I've been listening to soundtracks like Ninja Gaiden, Shenmue, Genji, Tenchu and many more to get inspiration for this soundtrack. The aim is to have it sound authentic. Traditional Japanese music is something I don't learn in school, so I have to study this myself. Learning these new harmonies is a lot of fun and it really pays off to get to know this. Before this project, the only instruments I knew were Japanese were the always powerful Taiko drums and Koto. Now I feel like I'm discovering more and more about Japanese instruments and how to use for maximum effect.

I can't say yet which project I'm composing this for, but it's gonna be big!
So stay tuned!
For now, I'll leave you with a small sample of its soundtrack.

Nice music, I can imagine wandering through a calm Eastern Asian countryside. It sounds pretty Japanese to me already (although, I'm European, so I shouldn't be able to tell^^).
