Hello and long time no see! I have reached a decision that, due to my far too busy real life, I will be putting a stop to all of my projects for Rtcw. This is a sad decision that I didn't want to reach, but real life is very important to me. However, I am not trashing all of the hard work that I have done thus far. Therefore, very soon I will post download links that anyone can access. These downloads will contain ALL of my mapping content (custom sounds, music, textures, models and of course, the source .map files for everything that I have collected).
This means that, if someone here wants to finish Castle Wewelsburg or my unfinished Christmas-themed map called Jerry Christmas, then they can finish it if they want to. I won't make the mistake of leaving my mapping content hidden away to be lost forever like some other mappers have done with their abandoned projects.
Thanks for reading and wait soon for the download links that I mentioned.

Hi Ron mate, it's Wolf Enstein from 'Splatterladder' here. I've been thinking a lot about you recently, your absence from our Wolfenstein Community and how unlike you it is.
You are and always will be, one of the best promoters of and contributers to 'Return to Castle Wolfenstein' mapping and modding and you'll always have my admiration and thanks for all your hard work and dedication over many years.
Your unselfish and thoughtful act of releasing all your created content, for the benifit of others and for our Wolfenstein Community as a whole, is just another fine example of your superb community spirit.
Health and family must always take priority in life and I wish you every success in whatever you decide to do next, mate.

You're welcome, WolfRTCW. It's nice to chat with you again. I'll be dropping in here and on some other websites every so often (when I find time), so don't take this update that I posted as a sign that I will soon be leaving the community. =)
That's great that you're not leaving the community entirely, Ron, otherwise we'd need to 'sail across the big pond', kidnap you and hold you hostage at Splatterladder Towers :) .
Sucks to see you leaving everything but understandable, I'm glad you're not going the route of most mods/projects where they say they leave then the files rot on their HDD's until they're lost to time.

Yes, this was a difficult decision for me to make, TheRenegadist. It is what it is, as the saying goes. I agree that it's sad when projects are forever lost when their authors don't share their work with the community. I won't make that mistake, as I mentioned on the news article above.

This is sad news indeed. Just as WolfRTCW stated, you've clearly been one of the best contributors to RTCW mapping and modding. At least, to me, you were the very best. We'll miss those website updates, and outstanding projects, but all good things must come to an end someday. Real life always comes first, I too know that very well. It will be my turn to lay down arms in a few years, most likely.
I'll never forget that it's thanks to you that I didn't give up on modding, 7 years ago, when I made my first steps with The Dark Army.
Glad you decided to share your mapping files, btw, so that nothing's lost.

Thanks for your kind words, William_Faure. In my opinion, I wasn't even close to being a great mapper, but I did improve in some aspects over the years. As you said though, all good things must come to an end someday.
