this is probably a stupid question, but whenever I launch from community/custom it crashes to desktop. I don't get an error message or anything, it just crashes. please help

out of curiosity, where is the mod folder location if you're using the GOG version?

I have the gold version on steam and every time I try to run the autoinstaller, it says there is no installation found.
If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.
