I indifferently clicked on a facebook link leading to a Kotaku article.
What a surprise, Dayz is an Arma 2 mod that looks pretty frickin cool.

It's online and players are dropped in a zombie apocalypse world (think S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Fallout). You can roam a large map in search of guns, food and supplies. But you're also going to run into other survivors (players) who will most likely shoot you on sight. And when you die, you character permantly oldschool dies.
From what I've seen, this really increases roleplay. Players will group up or play it lone wolf style. Some stay honest to friends while other become 'survival of the fittest douchebags'. Heavily reminding me of the Walking Dead comic/tv show. How have I never heard of this game before?
Oh right, maybe because I don't own Arma 2...
Not my kind of game and I totally dig (Source) mods but I'm not the kind of guy that buys a game just for a mod.
