The top gamers in the world of Destiny sped forth to trya nd be the ones to manage to deafeat Crota's End in Hard mode. Apparently, the fire team One and Done finished the whole thing in a mere 27 minutes. That is crazy! It barely went live on the server yesterday morning. Certainly didn't take long.
Bungie stepped up to confirm that it was indeed the fire team One and Done that managed to be the very first set of gamers to finish up Crota's End on hard mode. They posted it to their Twitter. Bungie plans to make an official weekly update that lists the top 5 to do this as well.
Right before the raid was live on the servers Bungie put out a hotfix for the raid to deal with some issues that were only affecting Crota's End.
My fire team set out after Crota just last night to see what sort of tasty new exotic weapons we could get our hands on. The raid is pretty much the same as it always has been. However, that completely changes when you get to the last fight. After that point it becomes considerably more of a challenge than on normal. Crota's Shield is much stronger, as are the Hive Majors. There are also Wizards that protect Crota, and there's a gatekeeper that guards the bottom entrance area.
A member of my team managed to grab the handcannon, "Word of Crota" and snagged that tasty new shader that you get when you finish the raid itself. Pretty cool. We'll definitely be back to hunt down more legendaries and exotics.
