Project leader for The 158th Banshee Squadron - Pseudo-coder for The Apocalypse Project - I mostly mod Freespace, although I occasionally do stuff with Homeworld 2 and Starcraft. If there is one thing that I can't do for a project, it's UV map. I can trick people into thinking I can model, texture, compose, and do sound engineering, I can write and design levels decently, I can program enough to prevent me from drowning, and I have plenty of ideas for raw designing and game mechanics. - As with most of my fellow modders, my modding is only inhibited by Real Life(TM) and other games.

Love the look and feel so far, looking forward to new chapters.

Think I found a scripting issue though, When rescuing the alien slave from the factory if you climb the pit and drop the elevator before he "starts" the generator he'll correctly come up to the top, but will refuse to clear the obstruction after you drop the flamethrower. Also super easy to get stuck when dropping the flamethrower, had to noclip myself out a couple times while trying to get this sequence to work.

Other than that it was pretty smooth sailing, no other real issues.

ugh, xash3d... piece of crap never works right for me. Finally added an exception for the false positive, got around the CTD at launch, and bound all my controls. Does anyone know how to get it running in 1440p? Hope this is worth it...

e: never figured out how to do proper 1440p but it's worth playing anyway, looking forward to the full version.

Damn. Any game called "Destroy All Zombies" and that's set in the year 3700 has to be good.

From a modding standpoint, single player games give me a bit of a higher degree of control on what goes on. There's really too many variable in a multiplayer setting to really get into the meat and bones of telling my story, if only because I'm overly worried about balancing.

If I'm playing the game, then I guess I still enjoy single player games better because they tend to by significantly better balanced. All to often co-op games are either way too hard or way too easy, but very rare are they just right. On top of that, I can't pick up and play a co-op game whenever I want. I need to get another person to play with, which is pretty difficult considering how not many people I know IRL are into gaming.
