Report RSS Mount&Blade: Warband - Mod: Europe 1200

Posted by on

Hello again, Desura! (And people online)

So i have been absent in some time now, but i'm back again after been doing some stuff on PS3 & PSN :D
So i might just get back in the game of posting some new things about games and mods!
Even though i have already posted one blog on the mod "Europe 1200" for Mount&Blade: Warband, i'll just get a new one out there, since the game has added new features since my last post :D

Europe 1200 modifeies the 2010 Hit-Game, Mount&Blade: Warband.
The game has completly changes the game layout, from the mythical Calradia, and turned it into 13'th century Europe (in the year 1200 AD). The map has been custom formed as Europe in 1200 AD (Primaraly as it looks today), with major and minor citys in very sharp detail. Includes Brittania, Italie, Scandinavia (w. Denmark!), Iberia all including different countries and factions!
The NPC's of the game are historical correct, aswell as their soldier, including weapons and banners. All being more or less historically correct!
The game has great detail in every aspect - something you can really hours on getting in to it!

A problem with the game, might be this very high level of detail in the mod. The game map is very big! Massive - being the fact that it covers all of europe. This means that there are a lot of factions, and there-by also a lot of vasals and lords might give a bit of a bore, needing to scroll through a lot of people.

All in all, i feel that the game gives a good view of 1200AD Europe, with all the aspects that is brought to it through a First Person, RolePlayingGame, with the aspect of war and medievalness. You get the same feel that you have in Mount&Blade: Warband, of controling your armies, and becoming more known in the world - this time in Europe!

A thing to keep in mind, is that the mod is not completly developed yet, so any minor bugs that might be found in the mod, can (and will proberbly) be fixed. Also more aspects, in form of new factions, are stille being added to the mod!

I Hope you enjoyed this blog - please comment on anything you find, and if you want me to make a review of a game you like/dislike, then i'll se what i can do! :D

So until next time!
Keep Moding! Keep Gaming!
