Report RSS MOUNT&BLADE: WARBAND - MOD: Brytenwalda

Posted by on

Hi Guys, and welcome back!

This week I’ve been testing Mount&Blade: Warband mod, Brytenwalda!

The game is set in 6th-7th century Britain. Here you can chose to start as various factions, each with two starting positions - choose between Roman, Briton, Irish, Saxon and more! The mod has completely remodeled the map, as well as all the faction and NPC's! They have added hundreds of new item (might be 1000), as well as soldier, companions and even new formations to put your army in!

Last week i reviewed the mod Europe 1200, and told you about a massive campaign map. The map in this game is not as big - might be actually be the same size as the original Mount&Blade: Warband - but it feels huge! It has good detail on many of the cities, where they laid and their names. Amazing!

The game captures the different cultures greatly and even has a religious factor! Everything plays nicely together and it seems great. As it was with Europe 1200, the Brytenwalda is not completely developed yet, but they have done an amazing thing to the game. Another thing is that with some extra modules, you can make every battle a multiplayer battle, even when you’re playing in single player mode! Cool! The mod also brings on a lot of new options to the game, including, realistic-mode, shield bash, mood options and GORE! LET THE BLOOD RAIN! All options you can either turn on or off - according what you like :)

The game does not have any major bugs that i have found in my weeks test - but as said it hasn't been fully developed yet, so be patient :) I can only criticize it for being hard - the AI has gotten a facelift - which is actually a good thing - since the AI in Mount&Blade: Warband where a bit easy to kill - even whit the difficulty passed 85% So that’s an improvement - even though they become pretty good now! But you'll quickly get the hang of it :)! Also your soldier seem to need a lot of exp before they level up (does not include companions), which makes a bit of a bummer; since you might loose half of your men before they make it to level two? All in all the game is great, and could easily survive a stand-off with many of the other mods out there! so go check out their forum on TaleWorlds LINK: Forums.taleworlds.com

And hope you enjoy this truly awesome mod!

Hope you enjoyed my blog, and please comment if you feel like sharing
anything :)

Next week I’ll review the mod A Clash of Kings - the all new Game of Thrones Mod! So look forward to that!

Remember - new review every Monday! :)
So until next time!
Keep Moding! Keep Gaming!
