PR:Z aka Project Reality - Zombie Apocalypse Survival Minimod - Lead Developer
Not Dead and currently being developed again.
We are now working again on PR:Z and will be organizing some events in February.
To answer your questions:
We do not release the open beta because this minimod does not run on local and will always need us to host the server for people to be able to play it. At this time we do not have the man power to host and administrate a server on a regular basis. We will do so in the future thought.
About adding new features, we're working on a new 4km map that is being modded for PR:Z and that might include some new gamemode/objective features besides a few tweaks to our existing ones.
Not Dead per say, just not being developed anymore at this moment.
The PRZ Team was tired after 1 year and a half of constant development, testing and event organizing. So we took a big break after the Open Beta.
We might work on it again in December and organize some events.
Check under Co-Operative!
Again, if you had bothered reading the FAQ, you would know that PR:Z is for multi-player only at this moment. So you are not able to respawn on local/SP.
Go read the information on this site before writing down a question please.
As the message says. put the CP in the battlefield2/mods/pr folder before running it... it's not rocket science!
It was working before, guess it bugged with my update. It's working again now.
You will need both BF2 and PR to be able to play this minimod. As it is stated on the main page.
We will only focus on SP if/when we're done with all the work for MP.
Yep, that's the idea. And I think it might work out or at least I hope so. We'll see how this week goes and figure out if the point system needs any adjustments.
Currently, it is equal to GMT.
You can find the PR Time on the PR's forum clock.
Survivors always spawn unarmed as it is mentioned on the main page info. So no, you do not get a pistol... that would be too easy.
Open beta should be on the 1st of February if we can fix the bugs by then.
Updated the list of values based on our most recent score settings.
It is similar in some regards, but the pvp is limited by humanity rules and you actually play as zombie too, unlike DayZ.
Yes, CO-OP is Multiplayer with bots, where the bots are usually only in the Opfor team. In this case, the zombie team.
Thanks, appreciate the support.
Check the description of the original video.
Most likely not. Playing it alone is not really that fun...
If we would make a SP version of it, it wouldn't have the same features and would not have the same game-play style you get on Co-Op. We will consider that option after the first release, but to be honest, we would have to make specific layers/gamemodes for SP because what we have is meant for Multiplayer Co-Op only.
PR is all about player interaction and teamwork, you simply don't get that in SP.
Thanks mate, we intend to improve it quite a bit more in the future, after the first release if we get a good active community playing it.
If you have issues on PR installation, there is a section of the PR forum for that. They will help you fix it.
Some... but not most.
Yep... that was the inspiration :p
This is a pretty obvious example of a question that is already answered on this page... look at the header!
As lots of questions here.. no-one bothers to read before asking.
Thanks mate. We will definitely need some luck in the future :)
Thanks, hope you continue to think so after you try it out.
It is Co-Op so yes it does have bot support, just not SP at the moment. The AI is used for extra opposition within the zombie team.
You need BF2 1.5 and PR 1.0 (+ updates) to be able to play this minimod.
Our testers are required to be registered on the PR forum and have Team Speak.
You can also PM me on the PR forum if you want to participate in a beta test, for an earlier look into PRZ.
We can always need more guys for game-play testing.
You would need to have the server files to be able to spawn and for the loot to spawn in your local server. We do not plan on sharing the server files at this moment.
If we see that a lot of people are interested in playing Single Player, we will make a separate Co-Op layer where you already spawn with weapons but there wont be any random loot spawning on the map though. We can perhaps place some ammo caches in a few locations for players to be able to resupply and kill some zombies. I just don't see how that would be any fun as the thrill mostly comes from playing with and against other players.
