You're right, there is no SDK, you can however use Nifskope to get the 3d Stuff imported/exported, DDS converter for 2D, and many things are handled by XML files, so these are accesible as well.

The database can be handled with a standard sqlite manager. :)

They were initially designed to be a strict running team with a specialization in intercepting the ball. If you manage to keep them alive long enough, you should be able to build a great passing team though.
