Seek&Destroy; responded already in lenght but just so you know, the person making the bascinet and the person attributing the troops equipements are not the same, and their skills are not interchangeable, so it is in fact good that while Seek&Destroy; work on polishing the last bits for release, AsherNitin is still working on making more models and updating older assets, one doesn't really impact the other and the fact that assets keep going show dedication to the project.

I don't think so, when I was still in the team it wasn't, way too much changes from the previous version, even the map is new, as are almost all items, troop trees etc.. so it would be impossible to make it so

Forgot to add that the frogmouth visor mesh was made by IjustWant2bPure, big thanks to him for letting me use it. Also big thanks to Aro who is a super talented modder and who helped me with the rigging for these helmets.

I have been told that I made mistakes with the syntaxe of some items, mostly all the lods use the wrong format, _lod instead of .lod , I will upload a corrected version later but in the meantime be aware.

The files are currently being reviewed by moddb to check it doesn't contain any virus, it should be available to download in a day or two at most.

the met museum has a surviving piece made from rope, but those look nice especially the shingle version.

Could you tell where you got this written source about the patches?
Also I'm a bit surprised about the genoese and Brittany patches, Genoea flag is a red cross on a white background, and britanny I always saw it as a black cross on a white background.

what about the Zitta bascinet from Narf? you decided to remove that? also the basic houndskull visor we had last time I checked was also a Narf retexture.

Thanks I'm proud of how they turned out, just a disclaimer, they are not completely historically accurate as are the rest of the great bascinets in the mod, we needed to keep the collar area mobile to work with the set of animation we have, but real great bascinets would have been not as mobile as we made ours, you would normally not be capable of moving you head laterally. Its a compromise with historical accuracy we choose to make for gameplay purpose.

only individual weapons like handgones and arquebus but no artillery

I doubt it, artillery, field or siege is a big deal to program, it would need a lot of scripting work and also rework the sieges scenes for it so I doubt it will ever be a thing for this project. Its a shame because artillery would be really cool and also historically accurate in the setting. but it is what it is.

Almost complete rework of the armors. some models are retextures from Narf's models but only a few, and maybe a few bits here and there but for the most part this is an overhaul.

Hey guys, just to let you know DAC historical advisor, Skye started a youtube channel where she discuss some historical subjects mostly related to medieval warfare (but it's just the beginning so who knows where she will go from there).

Youtube.com

Skye has been part of the DAC team since a long time and gave us a lot of useful advices for weapons and armors. Keep in mind that any mistakes or historical inaccuracies in the mod would most likelly be our own fault and not hers since she only gave us advices and did not take the final design decisions. Anyway since I guess some of you must be into medieval history go see what she does and give her a thumbs up that will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the continuing support to the project.

Yes we have some units that use blackpowder weapons but not much and we still use old models for the guns, artillery is not planned for now, it would require a lot of work to make it work properly so not for now. We will maybe expand on this later but no promises sorry.

Seek&Destroy; have been busy with IRL stuff and a bit hard to reach for us recently with the holidays and all, but he did continue to work on the mod and gave us some updates recently, armor incorporation is still ongoing (and everything that goes along with it like balancing etc..) He also told us he recently finished adding the more than a hundred original musics made for the mod by Benjamin.R. In the mean time we used that opportunity to polish some armor models and scenes, so this time is not wasted for us either. I still can't say how much longer it will take but hopefully not much longer. We will update you as soon as we know for sure that we are almost there. thanks again to all for your support and patience.
Ps: Seek should give you an update here himself soon, he knows better than me where he's at exactly and what remain.

Dude you need to chill, this is modding, Dmitry does that for free on his spare time as well as the rest of the team. Those things takes time to be done properly, all sort of difficulties can come up to delay it. I'm not part of the dev team but I've seen enough to know that they worked very hard so far to make this mod and that the result is promising to be really good. I understand the frustration to see a project you care about being delayed but this is not a cool way to speak to people that make those things for the community to enjoy. In modding you just have to accept that the same standards of release deadlines as in the professional game industry can't be expected of the creators. They do that in their spare time, they also have lives and work and who knows what going on. So try to put you in his place for a minute, calling him a tease and a liar is not a nice thing to do.

We will try to do that soon, I have some plate armors with jupons and factions cross on them so not really coat of arms, also AsherNitin made the banners for all the lords in the game and we have some armors like tabards over plates that use the warband heraldic system to display the coat of arms on them made by IjustWant2bPure, we are testing them in game at the moment so we will post pics here when we are done with them which should be soon.

Yeah sure, I'm just not the most well suited to talk about that since I mostly make assets, but when making armors and weapons we talked a lot about stats and progression and our lead dev took all of the into account with the implementation of the stuff we made. Also I know that for scenes for example IjustWant2bPure and Rigo took great care to test the sieges to make sure they were not only good looking but fun to play. There is more than that for example about troop trees reorganisation, the final draft of the troop trees is taking place right now but we did already figured out what we wanted for them earlier so this is not like we just started thinking about all of that just now. Like I said I'm not the most suited to talk about all of what is part of the mod as I only participated in a small part of the whole project, but the rest of the team is focused in trying to make it the better experience we can in all areas not just armors and weapons, this is just the part with which I'm the most familiar myself that's it.

Mostly it is importing all the assets, giving them stats then attribute them to troops, also troops trees need some polishing, this is a bit tedious to do and is also time consuming because we have a lot of assets, also some corrections might be needed for some armors and such. In the mean time we use this opportunity to apply some more polishing or fix for armors weapons scenes ect. once the assets are given stats and are attributed swapping them with new improved models when needed is pretty quick to do, same for scenes. The process take time but it is happening even right now.
