Recently changing your graphics to low is not recommended cause most of the time low graphics always crash

Higher graphics has a rare occassion of crashing

Lots of theories on why your game crashes
Theory 1: Since it uses Project Reality Expolsions
Theory 2: dynamic indication (or hitmarkers with styles)
Theory 3: It uses the same features with Damocles

Try having all high graphics and turn off Anti Aliasing

Hey uhh i have a list of possible fixes that may work. From crash issues

1. Turn your graphics to High except for the thing called Anti Aliasing
2. Download the standalone fixes
3. Try to open multiplayer and you see the pre selected gamemode "co-op"
then re select coop cause there is no bot counter.

cause for me it sometimes crash

Click Multiplayer
re-click "Co-op"
You should see a bot slider
slide 16 maximum players and 48 bots
add dalian plant 16
launch and try if it crashes

Ok so nothing works with the standalone release the only way to fix it is t odownload the core files :C

Go to this guy cause this is the one i found but mine has the MODERN HUD while he's hud is the vanilla but mine is modern check my tutorial and his installation guide for more information anyways

REMEMBER TO DOWNLAOD STAND ALONE RELEASE ONLY!
then extract standalone then you get the folder called
HeatOfBattle

Now open the folder and you see this Battlefield 2 folder
THEN cut it and paste it to the Battlefield 2 GAME FOLDER the actual game btw

Ok so new fix update so basically you first:
1. Download the standalone download AIX Mods content and the maps content and download Battlefield 2
2. Now extract the Heat of Battle Standalone release and Battlefield 2
3. Now open AIX mod exe then find your game folder then install
4. Now open AIX maps exe then find your game folder then install
7. Then open HeatOfBattle folder now you see this folder called Battlefield 2 now right click that folder and click cut then paste it to the actual Battlefield 2 game folder. Replace everything
8. Then open this from the actual BF2 game Battlefield 2/mods/Heat_of_Battle/ai
now open AiDefault.ai.

10. Open singleplayer and choose ANY map to your liking
