Engine update 1/16/2014

NinjaGateStudios Blog

We've moved on to finishing up the engine and are moving on to the design aspect of the game. Here is what's included:

  • We added the headers to indicate the swing of the match.
  • Rounds actually end from a KO or time decision.
  • There is another sprite on screen instead of green hitbox.
  • Game speed is upped slightly.

As I mentioned, we are moving to place more art assets in the game and finalize any bugs/problems with the engine. As of now matches still do not end as there is an infinite number of rounds. Here is a video on the progress so far. Enjoy.

Humble beginnings on Desura

NinjaGateStudios Blog

Hello to all here on Desura and welcome to my profile.

Before I continue my post allow me to introduce myself. My name is Antoine Baker and I am an aspiring game designer. I reside in Syracuse, NY and is currently a student at Syracuse University. I study Arts and Sciences and have an extensive background in graphic design. Over the past 5 years I have been studying game design and I'm trying to prepare to get into the industry.

Well enough about me. You came here to see what Ninja Gate is all about. In late 2008 I started Ninja Gate as a remote gaming studio. I came up with ideas stories and interfaces and I piece together what I needed. I started my first game which is a fighting game. Starting out with such a large concept has been a learning experience. Through trials and tribulations, I've had quite the learning experience.

The project I'm creating is called Dead Plasma. It is a 2D fighting game akin to The King of Fighters and Street Fighter. You can check out the progress and other updates on our site blog and Youtube. We're also on Facebook and twitter. Follow or give us a like! You can see some of our artwork on our images section here on Desura. We'll be keeping people updated on what is happening with Dead Plasma.
