We're sorry, but no blog posts were found here. Boring yes, but as confucius always said - if you have nothing good to say, why say anything at all? Check back later, perhaps something exciting will pop-up and be worth blogging about, like season 3 of the teletubbies.
Speak your mind, rant about games, mods and the development scene, it's simple and who knows maybe someone will read it and agree. It will feel right!

Hi N.H.!
About a month ago you posted...
1. This isn't FarCry2.
2. FC2 is a completely different type of engine. It loads smaller chunks of levels and then streams in the rest as you go. The doom 3 engine loads THE ENTIRE level. We didn't design the engine.
Could you please tell me more on the subject?
Do you know if this was changed in the EnemyTerritory: QuakeWars edition of the engine? – is that what MegaTexture technology is?
...I’m interested in “1 huge level with no loading” games.
Is there a name for this little-by-little level loading technique, or some technical expression that I can run a search by?
(like what other engines use it?
Is it the new general trend,
or does it have its drawbacks?)
Tnx!
Hey Tim,
What you say is true, it would be much better to put efforts towards something so far along - and I trust your research is well conducted. I'ld most certainly be interested in helping The Dark Mod where I can. I've talked to another of the folks who was going to help with teh Transgressions, and he's pretty interested as well.
Let me know what I can do for you.
