Happy to see that the Sith weren't totally incompetent and could continue doing all the work for them, Thaxos' group continues waiting in the shadows but begin quietly concocting a plan on what they'll do next.

Thaxos holds back his sneeze with ease, considering wears his armor all the time like most Mandalorians it would have been unpleasant.

His team was getting anxious, while they'd rather let their enemies fight each other, if things didn't resolve soon they would most likely find another way or step in.

While seemingly frozen in time Thaxos' squad had merely left holograms behind to fool the other temple raiders and Massassi guards for reasons that didn't quite make sense, while they went back to their ship to resupply on ammo and snacks.

Jokes aside, the squad waits patiently for the Sith ahead of them to clear out the defenses while they basically took a breather and conserved their strength. They figured the Sith could wear themselves out trying to deal with the temple's defenses while they waited for the opportune moment to strike.

After sitting there for some time, Crow couldn't shake the feeling that that someone or something was watching them. He didn't dare bring it up with his squad mates considering they would just make fun of or ignore him since he had nothing solid to back up his claim. However, he remained alert nonetheless.

After a few minutes of arguing, Thaxos finally gets everyone to agree to try the right path this time. As they drew closer, they could hear the fight between the two Sith and Massassi warriors. Crow shrouded himself to prevent himself from being sensed by the rival pair.

The squad couches down and observes the fight from a safe distance down the hallway. The figured the could use the Sith rather than avoid them this time around.

Upon seeing their plan quickly going sour as the Terentatek along with a pack of tuk'ata charge straight for the squad, they begin back-peddling down the hallway laying down fire at the tuk'ata while Thaxos and Crow cut down any the two commandos miss.

"This is why..." Crow pauses to slash at one of the tuk'ata "I don't..." He cuts down another, "like going on missions with you!"

"Quite complaining and just keep running!"

Jenkins takes his turn at tossing out a thermal detonator towards the tuk'ata pack, and buy them some distance from their enemy as the squad falls back down the hallway, not stopping their retreat for anything.

Crow could now feel the stims kicking in and could now operate without having a limp for at least the next few hours.

"So now what?" Jenkins says a bit too loud but after Thaxos smacks him upside the head he reiterates in a more quiet tone. "Ow, now what?"

"I think we can take them, but that big beast over there worries me."

"Its a Terentatek... from what I've read on them, they have a taste for Force-sensitives."

"Sounds perfect, so while we deal with everyone else, you can rush over when it wakes up and distract it."

"Your joking right? Is that the best you could come up with?"

Thaxos who was actually about to carry out his bad plan stops and reconsiders. "Uh, yeah, totally joking. Well, like I said before, we can deal with the rest but that terentatek is gonna be a pain."

"I could pitch a grenade down there and wake up if not kill it." Tofft suggests.

"You can throw that far?" Jenkins says a bit too loudly again, and his therefore smacked again.

"Yeah, I play a lot of sports during my down time. Besides, not like I need to hit it, I've been watching them pretty closely and it looks like they're tryin pretty hard not to wake it up. Best case scenario it wakes up and goes on a rampage, and we take out two birds with one grenade. The least we got is a minor distraction we can use to take a few of em out before they know what hit em."

"Sounds like a solid plan to me. Go for it sergeant." Thaxos gives two thumbs.

"Wait a minute here, don't you think we're getting a bit over-"

Before Crow could finish his sentence, Tofft steps outside the doorway, sets an extended timer on the grenade and pitches it across the large room at the beast. It bounces a couple times the rolls the rest of the distance towards its intended destination before detonating in a reasonably large, very audible, explosion that echoed throughout the room.

Thaxos' squad backs off at first to avoid being spotted. once they are sure that the Massassi in the barracks haven't been alerted to their presence they they peek around the corner and try to analyze the surrounding area, backing off when any Massassi get too close.

OOC: In other words, and more detailed description please? :D How many enemies? Basic layout of the barracks, etc. etc. At least from what I can initially see from the hallway, after that I can go from there.

As Crow and Jenkins are knocked down from the impact of the spears, Thaxos and Tofft finish off the remaining guards and then rush to the aid their comrades.

"That's what you get for trying to look cool." Thaxos remarks as he helps Crow pull the spear out and in treating the wound. "Let's stick with me on point next time."

"Shut up." Crow says after tossing the spear to the side.

He checks for any poison or toxin before applying medical spray and wrapping it. Fortunately for Crow he was wearing light fiberwaeve armor which prevented the spear from inflicting too deep a wound, and after being hastily treated he was given some pain killers and stims.

Jenkins was in even better shape due to his tougher armor. The spear tore the fiberweave beneath his shoulder armor and the impact on the chest left him winded but other some major bruises he suffered no injury and was able to get back up without much issue with the help of his squad mate Tofft.

After taking a moment to get their bearings they continue to move forward down the hallway.

OOC: Dammit, didn't realize it had already been that long. Can you cut me some slack one more time? If it happens again I think I'll just give up on the event. You can assume my group just quietly leaves at that point.

Crow rushes to the front and deflects the incoming spears with both telekinesis and his lightsaber. The grenades the two commandos had tossed out detonate, taking out the tuk'ata as they rush down the hallway. Using the smoke and debris from the explosion as cover/distraction for their advance, Thaxos's group runs at the Massassi warriors and cuts or shoots them down, one-by-one.

Their efficiency at killing the Massassi and their pets seems to have improved by a remarkable degree. After only one encounter they have already adapted their tactics and movements to counter their primitive enemy. Not that they were much of an equal match in the first place.

Thaxos's group move down the left path until the get within visual range of the Massassi guardians. The don't hesitate to toss a few thermal detonators to thin their ranks and following that the group opens fire, concentrating on the tuk'ata first, while using the same formation as before.

Thaxos's group returns to the first room, they barely make out the sounds of the ensuing fight where the Imps met the massassi guards. Not too keen on splitting up, but also not wanting to drag this on much longer, they decide to do send out a probe droid to scout out the left path.

So let me get this straight, basically the ranking system in the Imperium of Man consists of this:

From IG to Spess Marines to the EMPRAH!

Starts with Helmet < Outranked by Squad leader who wears no helmet < outranked by guy with a cool hat < outranked by guy with a bigger, even cooler hat < outranked by pauldrons and helmet < outranked by pauldrons with no helmet < outranked by the purely theoretical pauldrons and cool hat < THE EMPRAH!

Something me and my friends determined while messing around playing Dark Heresy (Being goofy and stupid as many friend groups out there do). I think I at least covered the bare basics, excluding the Inquisition and Ecclesiarchy along with other sub-factions such as the Adeptus Mechanicus and Adeptus Administorum (which by the way did anyone know they actually have their own stormtroopers!?). I also acknowledge that the awesomeness of the individual's pauldrons and helmets can also cause the ranks in the Space Marines to fluctuate.

Thaxos's group spies on the Imperials from down the tunnel, they could only see a few at the distance they were. They all lay low, taking advantage of the darkness, Crow shrouds himself to avoid detection, all of them wait for them to move on, preferring not to tussle with a group of storm commandos and Sith.

Thoxos and Tofft, both of whom being close combat specialists, quickly dispatch the tuk'ata. Tofft blows the first ones approaching him away with his shotgun then stab at the rest with his vibro-bayonet. Thaxos cuts them down one by one before moving forward to the massassi warriors. Jenkins struggles with the tuk'ata going after him but Crow quickly comes in for an assist, swiftly cutting them down with his light saber (An orange saber I'll add).

As Crow copies the transcription on the datapad, the others try to determine the source of the screams. Meanwhile Thaxos was getting the gut feeling they were being watched, but currently found no indication of anyone else being there with them.. He figured it was simply the atmosphere of the Temple.

Crow could recognize the names of the ancient Sith lords, but alas he would need much more time to get a proper translation.

"You found anything yet Crow? This place is giving me the creeps." Tofft says as he scans the area.

"Yes but nothing that would help much in determining what path we should take. It looks like we'll just have to choose one and hope for the best. From what I can tell this is just a temple, chances are these paths will all lead to the same place, accept they may be trapped all the same." Crow explains.

"Fine then, we'll take this path." Thaxos points to the middle right-most path and waves for everyone to form up on him. They head down the dark torch lit path, ever vigilant of anything they might encounter on the way.

The shuttle ramp lowers a four figures emerge from the craft. Two Federation commandos, Sergeant Tofft and Corporal Jenkins, who scan the area around the clearing, clad in black armor that would be unfamiliar to most. The sergeant wielded a blaster shotgun equipped with a bayonet and the corporal a standard blaster rifle. In addition to they had their side arms along with some detpacks and bandoleers lined with grenades of various types.

Next, a man in a dark gray robe walks down the ramp, the Dark Jedi only known as Crow. He seemed to be sulking over the fact he was dragged along on this adventure.

"Why did you bring me here again?"

The last to emerge from the ship was Thaxos Tenau, Praxis's right hand man.

"Your one of the only people we know who's an expert on old Sith temples and artifacts, of course we brought you. Are you telling me you'd rather be sitting around bored back at HQ?"

"Well no... and I can't say that I'm not mildly curious.."

"Then quit your whining. This will be the first time we've done field work in a while." Thaxos toys with his beskad, he was itching for a fight.

"Its not so much I don't like field work, its just that things tend to go wrong when your involved." Crow continued to grumble. He wasn't wrong, with the Imperials not far behind his wariness was not unwarranted.

The other three ignored his comment, they weren't going home empty handed. Instead, they focused on the task at hand. Crow decided to make himself useful and focus his mind on the path ahead leading to the temple, scanning the area for any hostile presence.

As they arrived in the first room, Crow begins searching for any glyphs, ancient text or signs that would give him a clue which path to take.

OOC: I assume Serena would have moved on by the time my team gets there, if not then we'll deal with that next turn.
