Thank you kind sir! Enjoy the murderizing.

The trailer looks pretty neat! I like the stylized distant backgrounds. Rolling on the rock fences looks tricky, I'll probably check out the demo.
@Leicheh @resserection @MrTambourineMan @SPY-maps
Thanks! We went pretty much for straight rock'n'roll (which I love) and some speed metal for the action. Works well, gets the blood flowing! Of course you'll be able to turn the music if metal's not your thing.
@medve
It will be single player initially. We're looking at possibly doing coop in the future as an update for the PC and 360 version. We'll see!
@GossamerSolid
Yup as Leicheh pointed out we were hand-picked by Croteam to make a spin-off of Serious Sam in our own style based on how much they liked our first game "Weapon of Choice".
They also picked Vlambeer (Super Crate Box-PC) and Be-Rad (Lame Castle-iOS) to make their own different, lovably-crazy versions of Sam.
The concept art is looking good. I like the tattoo, very intricate.
@JM_Scion
Yes! The Kamikaze is the butt of the joke in the first interaction, and an introduction to the humor and characters in Serious Sam games. The 'beheaded soldiers' are a mainstay.
@pöx
Thanks! I'm working hard to match the insane humor and style of Serious Sam games.
Double D is officially sanctioned by Croteam. The Serious Sam franchise is very *strange* indeed (starting back in 2001 as a first person shooter)!
I agree, the art looks great. I think the characters are well done too and you may already have thought about this, but I think they could benefit from a slightly more exaggerated breathing animation. They look a little creepy right now, like dolls. Might be what your going for, or just early, not sure.
But yes, the painting work is really nice. I love the art nouveau style in the menus.
I like the stylized trees a lot. I think they add a lot of character to the environments.
@CMDKeen
Thanks! The new enemies are coming into being currently. Still finishing art, fixing up some code bugs.
@Pompeii accuracies
Right, so the tip of the mountain is off with smoke coming out to simply look more interesting, via artistic license. It's meant to quickly and succinctly convey the situation to the player, while hiding the action (actual eruption) for later.
This screenshot is from the first level in this area. The next level here is during the exterior eruption, then you get to travel inside (for even more inaccuracies! Via Mental and his band of mongrels.)
@makemeunreal
Thanks! We're targeting a July release on the PC, 360 to follow. I'm going back to making, making, making right after this comment!
Yes, the red mech is even bigger, and we're adding a whole new biomechanoid to Double D which will be even bigger still. She has some new attacks and funny intro.. it acts as a mid-boss in level 7.
Looks cool! Could you post a link to the download page? Thanks!
@CMDKeen
He should be smaller and initially he was as we were following the original specs of them being 15ft tall. But after playing around with it some, it's much more interesting (and scary) in 2D to have him big, and the red ones even bigger. And we're adding a 3rd, joke-style one as a boss half-way through the game.
@56er
Already awesome is great. There are some bosses in the XBLIG version. This new mega-version will add more boss variety.
Things falling and crushing guys below.. hmmm. that's pretty cool but could turn tricky to balance. I'll see how it plays out.
@Theon
The slow pacing is tricky to get the hefty mech feel. Though I agree with the problem of enemies fire too continuously. Maybe I'll make them shoot in tighter bursts, then go though a reload animation, to help break up the attacks, and add more flavor.
Thanks guys!
Thanks Expired! I appreciate hearing that.
Thanks Henley! We'll get a full gameplay trailer up shortly.
