I'm not sure what could be causing this issue, I can only think it's something to do with an update in Windows 8.1. That, or perhaps there is a hardware issue which I find less likely.
I currently use Windows 8, and the game has been tested on it thoroughly without issues. I will look into this for you.

Thanks for providing others with help. Games are loaded into the system and if pre-orders are enabled like we had for this, then keys can be sent out; like we did for IndieGala. This is what was meant by preloading. So on release day, the game can be installed.
I hope that clears things up, it's a little unusual I know :)

Hi, we don't have a demo build for this title but the developer (Excalibur) is well known. They have an extensive back catalogue of titles. We also understand the concerns raised about the cost, we've now dropped the price for this game.
