Hello! I'm sorry I haven't been very active in the development of this mod; life has gotten in the way. Unfortunately I lost a lot of the older files I was working on in a driver crash.

That's the bad news; the good news is that I now have the time to work on this mod once again and I will be starting from scratch. There were issues with some of the older models; polygon counts were higher than I would have liked and the topography of some of them was a bit messy. I will be looking to correct this in the newer versions. I really do hope to see this mod to completion; hopefully I'll be able to get a beta out for you guys to test.

Once again I'm very sorry for the long absence but I have not forgotten or abandoned the mod.

Lol yes, it is still being worked on; it will see the light of day. I don't have a ton of time to continuously work anymore so it'll have to be released in bits but I think that should be fine. I'm reworking some of the models too since a lot of them have more vertices than necessary so they'll run better. The main issue is I'm just a single guy trying to put together a massive mod.

Some form of a new FCM has been kicking around in development since JPL was active. Many people left though, and since there's a lack of modding knowledge no new people are coming in; JPOG modding has been largely abandoned for JWE modding sadly (also because of rampant mod theft). Thus it becomes a necessity to do it myself. Before this is all said and done I intend to write a bunch of tutorials so that JPOG modding isn't lost to annals of history.

Ultimately though some new mod is needed to shake the community up and get people interested in again. If I had the coding knowledge I would completely take this game apart because apparently it can be done, Equinox said as much; but again with a lack of new people it becomes less likely that we'll get someone who has the coding skills to make new breakthroughs. IMO JWE modding is futile because that game doesn't have the substance to become truly what it needed to be unless modders can take apart that game too (but that's probably even less likely with its newer coding). So yeah, sorry for the rambling but the FCM Revived has not been abandoned. Also I should mention that the FB page is deleted simply because I hate FB and social media lol. Larger updates will be posted here and videos will be posted on my Youtube channel.

It's actually a model import from the King Kong video game. I played that game for an absurd amount of time back in the day.

It's up there, right after the galli picture. That's the current model, I may make the quills bigger though

Yes it absolutely is; I haven't updated much due to life stuff getting in the way. However, this is not a dead mod a beta will be released this year and hopefully more versions.

Go to the Blender main site, they have all of the releases archived there

Blender cannot import the Toshi (tmd) format naturally; it's a proprietary format Bluetongue made just for JPOG. I assume by the importer you're using the Hendrix converter, if not use it :
Github.com

Install it just like any other addon in Blender; the converter itself was last updated in 2018 so I don't think it requires the latest version of Blender (I don't use the latest since I hate the Maya layout). Blender's website has a backlog of all the older versions though. When I get the time I'll try to make some tutorials on how to mod JPOG. It seems there's a severe lack of places to find info on modern JPOG modding now with the forums gone.

I use Blender to make the models and gimp to make the skins. For sounds I rip them from the movies or find them on Youtube.

Troodon will probably use the raptor animations, not sure about the herrerasaurus yet. Because new animations can sometimes cause stuttering in the animations I'm trying to use mostly vanilla animations just adding some new ones into it. For example I still want to change the rex spino death duel animation to more match what we saw in JP3. For dig sites I'll have to look into it; I don't know much about how digsites work from a modding perspective so when the time comes i'll have to do some tests.

I plan on restructuring the way the mod is release. I realize that if I try to release it all at once it'll never be completed. I also realize that this method of doing all the models together, then skins, then animations is too time consuming and nothing ever gets put out.

I am only one person, but I think my approach to the way I was making the content wasn't efficient. Because of this I plan to release the mod in stages the way indie games are put out. There will be an alpha with only the dinosaurs from JP, then an update for TLW, followed by JP3, the unseen dinos, and then the buildings, environment, etc will come in more updates. I have now been putting my effort into completing the original 7 species seen in JP and releasing them. Hopefully that'll be before the end of the year (as long as doing the animations goes smoothly since apparently new animations can cause some gittering).

I have also been partially put off by the idea of mod thieves frequenting this site and the JPOG modding community at large; however, I intend to see this through.

You have to download the blender addon which allows you to import .tmd and export models as .tmd files. It's by hendrix and is on github

Allosaurus will be in the first DLC, I.rex has no place in this mod as it appeared in JW. This mod only pertains to the first 3 movies and DLCs will be inspired by toy lines, video games, and other media sources during that period from 1993-right up until JW's release in 2015.

Ah I see, but yes the JPTG, Ingen list and movie dinosaurs will all be together.

As for the carnotaurus, it will be in the first DLC I do (the first will be based off dinosaurs that showed up in TLW PS1 game). I may also do a camouflage variant though, I have an idea of how it could be done atleast.

If you mean with all JW and JP dinosaurs there isn't enough room in the game. Even with this mod the user is going to have to pick and choose 40 species to have in the game at once when the DLC are done.

I want to include pteranodons (you can see the old model on it I did); I'm going to try it with the JP3 pteranodons first and if they come out successful then I will do more (TLW variant and others). The only way to have a bird cage is to remodel the fence models and then duplicate it. I think it's possible but I haven't tried it yet. That would come when I'd be changing the buildings. First the dinosaurs are being done, then the environment and finally the buildings.

Yes InGen's list along with the JPTG dinosaurs will be in this mod. This mod solely focuses on the franchise from 93-2015 right up until JW.

I used Blender to make the models and I use Gimp to make the skins. Both programs are free.

Currently there is no release date mainly because it's only me working on the mod and there's a lot to do. When some more dinosaurs are done I'll see if I can put out an alpha or beta release. The full scope of this mod is to eventually have new buildings too but it'll take a while for that.

The raptors would sometimes glitch when jumping on the t.rex and be stuck in the air permanently; this also happened sometimes when the rex grabbed them too. The file he sent me also made the raptors fight but sometimes they'd get caught in a loop of fighting. I theorized the rex issue was because the rex model doesn't have a point for the raptors to attach to when jumping like other dinos do.

Yeah, unfortunately it was just a bit too glitchy; it was a great concept if only we could get it to work right. Release it though, maybe someone will have an idea on how to improve it.

Baby dinosaurs would be a mixed bag; you'd need to make new models and skins and while herbivore babies would follow the herd, they'd take up space for other dinosaurs. Tylosaurus is not possible, at least, not without being extremely janky; the only way to do it correctly would be to completely convert JPOG but that'll have to wait for another time.

There's only one dinosaur that I'd think about making a camo skin for and that's the Carnotaurus in a DLC. Baryonyx will use a design resembling the PS1 TLW game.

Not for a while; it's only me working on it and I have quite a few things to do. Skins need to be done, some of the models still need to be reworked, animations have to be locked to the models (with some new ones) and then I have to do the sounds. All of that would be for a beta release only. The full release with the planned buildings, environment changes, etc is going to take even longer. I am focusing more on making a quality mod so it's going to take time.

Things are moving along, slowly, but moving along. I want to have more than just 1 skin to show so I'm holding back on showing updates for the time being. Due to recent incidents of mod theft I'm actually rethinking my plan of releasing an early alpha/beta though.

No, Mosasaurus did not appear in any movie/media for JP prior to JW so that rules it out. Tylosaurus did but there's no way to make it not be janky without converting the entire game.

I was going for the more traditional look of the CGI rex from the Gallimimus scene with this skin. However, the animatronic is quite different from the CGI model so I may end up doing two versions.
