Found a temporary fix, if you switch from direct x9 to direct x7 in "configure" then it solves the problem.

Hey Ivan, Blood in the West - Great mod,
Just one thing, whenever I go into an open field battle in campaign, the game suddenly crashes and brings me to desktop saying "windows is trying to find a solution to the problem." Sieges are fine though.
Any suggestions or fixes you have would be great.
