That's a bug with animation i'm afraid/ Due to some technical restrictions of X3 engine some animations just work incorrectly...

Just keep playing the game. You should have received a few messages already telling the faith of a few other colonial ships + you should start and proceed via "vanilla" plots of the game.

Nay-nay, that's incorrect. AP is just an add-on to TC and you need to install the mod onto AP as well as activate and launch it via AP only.

Well, it's possible that you need to change the string "language=44" to your language. Anyway i'll upload a multi-language version quite soon (the mod will be still in English though).

Are you sure you've renamed all the files? T files sbould change this correctly. Anyway, i'll try to upload all languages friendly version tmr.

Which game language do you use? If not English or Russian, you should rename ...-L044 files in the "T" folder into ones of the following: 049 - German, 048 - Polish, 042 - Czech, 039 - Italian, 034 - Spanish, 033 - French.

Well, the mod is supposed to be installed only on English or Russian languages of the game. You can easily fix this by renaming all text files in the "T" folder of the mod (before placing them into the game folder) from ...-L044 into ...-L049. You'll be getting all text in English though.

Just because this gamestart replaces the original one. Difficulty level "Dead is Dead" is supposed to work only with steam connection and only one savegame file on steamcloud to prevent players from using save/load features or modifying the game somehow =P

Well, in the new mod we have our hands free to do anything since it'll be a total-conversion. Though it's quite early to actually build missions/scenarios ingame we have main concept/plot already done and ready for implementing. Any mission requires a good script, balanced demands/reward etc... Again, this mod was developed by many people throughout a few years and we (current team) in fact had to work with things left by predecessors, things that became a mess and sometimes work incorrectly. That's why we started the work on a new project instead of expanding the current mod, though we have enough content already to do so dramatically.
Anyway, we do appreciate any ideas/concerns about the BSG: TI and i'd ask you to feel free writing down any ideas/suggestions you may have.

Well, first of all, there was no thoughts that taking the rank of captain will be hard. In my memory i spend quite a little time blowing raiders to get it, i would say i even had not enough time to fill the freighter. So the rank is just used as trigger as was expected players will get the rank really fast, sorry to hear that this caused any troubles for you. Once one of our devs. will come back he may change something, but atm all our efforts are aimed on the new project. And yeah, there will be more than enough documentation about the new mod (we may even create a wiki), but i assure you there will be nothing about missions/plots and how to finish them. Simply because exploration is the part of the fun, maybe you'll be the guy writing a complete walkthrough, who knows ;P

Well, we have included some BSG-styled custom music in the mod, but it's played occasionally during some missions/in new sectors only. The reason why we left the vanilla music is that this mod wasn't ever supposed to be a total-conversion/BSG game. It all started as simple ship pack and expanded to the current level by years. So, after all, it's the mod which is not aimed to completely overhaul the original game and thats why the music stayed as well.

As BSG: TI supposed to be a total-conversion, there will be no X3 music. And we have our own composed BSG-themed soundtrack and we supposed we won't need to borrow any from Diaspora, we'll see anyway, it's too early to think about music yet. To find out more about BSG: TI i would suggest you to visit our website and look around there. We're also going to create the page on ModDB sooner or later.

P.S. In this particular mod there are only a couple of models from Diaspora, the most crucial one is Basestar's model. We got the Theseus' model as well for the Terra Incognita =P

You need to get the rank of Captain (fight rank, improving by fighting enemy). Also at some point you should be given control of freighter to fill it with supplies/ammo/etc. Once you get the proper rank further missions will be triggered.
