I like the idea of having a hero who increases in power, that is more a minor detail we can work out when everything else is put togeather. I'm diggin the idea of useing the wraith hero because:
A) no campaign has ever used him before
B) For some reason he has a ground burst cannon effect, i'm not sure why, maybe raidmax was messing around and never went to change it back. But clearly if it can accidently be set up like that, then we can have raidmax tweek it to something unique and cool specifically for our campaign. So our hero will have weapons that arn't in either starcraft or upgrades =).

As for the mutations, i just kind of threw that out... don't really know how we could pull that off. So i'm going to bag the idea. We will just have it be Zerg forces.

As for a multiplayer campaign. One step at a time =). Undertaking the production of two campaigns at the same time would be a headache. Let us wait to see how well the first one comes out. And decide afterward if we want to make another.

I think, that`s a good plot for the campaign. It looks like the continuation for Brood War (Yeah, I saw the secret level :) ) . Yes, Starcraft campaigns plot is also cheesy and because of that I love it :P
Ok, when Raidmax will agree, we can make missions for this campaign. You`re great, you made a plot in 15 minutes :) Nice plot though. But how we can make such hybrids like Duran has??? Maybe Raidmax...
And about a hero...
And I`ve got an idea. Maybe from level to level the level ( heh) of our hero will be increasing (Like in Warcraft 3 for example). We might increase his damage, heal points etc.
And what about a MULTIPLAYER CAMPAIGN TOO?? Me and my father love to play such campaigns. Why don't we make SINGLE and MULTIPLAYER campaigns ??
Ok, when you think about all of my ideas, talk to raidmax about it. When the final version of Upgrades will be released , we can start making those campaigns.
I have already made three maps for Upgrades (One melee and two UMS`S)

I made this Campaign concept up in like 15 min so trust me, i can refine it and make it less cheesy, tell me what you think first

Brief plot concept:

Pre-history-

Following the news of the defeat of the Zerg home world of Char the United Earth Directorate begins to loose its grip on Earth and its’ surrounding territories. Without the unifying cause of fear from Zerg invasion the Terran home world slips into a period of warring nationalities and powers. As the various Terran colonies tend to funded by the various nations of the Earth and composed of their ethnicities, the colonies quickly pick sides and the conflict worsens.

Although the news of Kerrigan’s victory does soon reach the remaining UED forces it is perceived an attempt by the UED to reassert its’ influence and few believe it. The conflict quickly escalates with the newly founded Socialist Republic of Earth (former PRC and Confederation of Intra-Islamic Nations ) taking control of Earth and 4 out of 14 of the Terran colonies. With more evidence of Kerrigan’s victory over the UED forces emerging, the other 10 colonies quickly realized the severity of the situation and have now allied under for the sake of retaking earth and protecting the future of humanity. The former UED sides with this new allience yet has no real influence.

Where you come in:

The player plays some random hero (we can make that up later)

We would split the missions up as:
- 2-4 missions to retake control over human forces (we can throw in a non-base mission here to mix up the play style of the campaign)
- 1 survival style mission evacuating a colony from the Zerg (I’ve done a number of survival maps before and can do some cool trigger effects with these, it also mixes up play style)

Following the advice of the former UED who had seen the Protess help Raynor, the main character (you) leaves to seek their backup when a signal is picked up in a nearby sector (I’m not even sure what a sector is but Sci-fi stuff uses the term a lot =).

- 1 mission in which the player saves Zeratul’s forces about to be overrun by the zerg. (This could also be Zerg mutations controled by Duran, if you ever beat secret level of broodwars you know what I’m talking about).

Player returns to a besieged earth.
- 1 mission to retake some random colony
- 1-3 missions to retake earth or however the hell we want to chase off the Zerg.

I was thinking of maybe killing kerrigan, then we can end it with "well now we gada clean up a buncha random zerg" kind of thing, but the player knows the 'real' threat is gone and can go to sleep in peace =)

You get the point. I think it’s a decent plot concept, of course its slightly cheesy but if you’ve ever played the starcraft campaign its cheesy from time to time too. I think we could make this good.
