Apologies. I made an error in the shortcut. For me (on Windows 7), the installer just creates a shortcut to an icon! However, easy fix. Right click and select properties.
Put this in the start location (the location between the quotes being the path to the game).

"M:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +widescreen 1 +modPath mods/ES2Mod

I renamed the original ES2 folder name to ES2Mod without the space (just a habit when setting up shortcuts with quotes).
Below that Start Location should be like this (again pointing to the game folder):

"M:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\"

Almost a superb mod. It's great to have access to all the extra maps and sizes, and the bots are good enough to get in some practice for online play. HOWEVER, are you going to fix the issue where the team names are not appearing over their heads/vehicles? Likewise, no direction finders for the flags (not as important, but still). The split second needed (or longer depending on one's brain!) is all too often death. It's very frustrating and is really hurting what has been a marvellous effort....
